Arm in Guillotine from Front Headlock

May 16, 2023
  1. Start in top turtle with a front headlock. Your choking-side knee is grounded and your opposite foot is posted.
  2. Attempt a Bow and Arrow Turnover, and uke keeps their arm out / framed. Uke reaches around your waist / leg with that arm.
  3. Get your arm-in-guillotine grip:
    • Choking arm: fist, bent wrist, blade of wrist on uke's trachea, elbow pinched, shoulder on back of uke's neck
    • Support arm: pushing up on the bottom of your choking hand (or pretzel grip), elbow pinched
  4. Stand up, keeping your grips lifted, step to an angle and sit into closed guard. Outside leg steps all the way over first, then sit down, then close.
  5. Finish by:
    • Standard guillotine finish side crunch & cradle.
    • Heels to butt / leg curl.
    • Hip up.

Keys

  • Crunch to finish, don't open up!
