Mount Escape to SLX
April 17, 2023
- start in bottom mount - uke is in a low mount
- do any mount escape that gets you some space under one of uke's thighs.
e.g.
- corner frame on uke's hips (this is the same frame we use to elbow escape)
- power shrimp to the same side as your hands and push with beltline frame, turning your knee outward
- pull your knee into the gap and use it as a frame
- use your inside hand to clear your head & push their torso away (armpit post)
- move your head in the opposite direction, towards their ankle
- close your SLX (outside heel on hip, inside foot hidden, knees together)
Keys
- knee frame
- keep head free
- cut angle
